In North Cyprus has Mr Hasan Sungur, Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Estate Agents Association lost the plot ??????This newspaper article features Hasan Sungur and also informs us that Cafer Gurcafer (A Director of AGA Development) is no longer , the Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Building Contractors' Union, in fact he was voted out and now we see that he has been replaced by Mr Soner Yetkili

we have definately come to the comclusion that Hasan Sungur, Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Estate Agents has finally lost the plot, We must add that this man gave us his word for what it has been worth and promised with all his heart in August 07 after wining and dining us on a few occasions that he would help us.
He has even told us that he has seen paperwork that promises us a solution - we have the email to prove this claim
We are sure he has no knowledge of MORALS !

Turkish daily Milliyet newspaper (29.06.09) publishes a report by Sefa Karahasan, the papers correspondent in occupied Lefkosia, regarding the sales of real property in the occupied areas of the Republic of Cyprus. The paper under the title The sales of real property in TRNC were stopped with the Orams decision, reports that the decision of the European Court of Justice on the 28th of April regarding the Orams case dealt a blow to the real property sector.
The paper reports: Fifteen thousand houses are unsold in the occupied areas. The representatives of the sector made a call on Turkey to back the title deeds they sell to the foreigners. A great number of the real property is built plots which belonged to the Greek Cypriots before 1974. The foreigners want a guarantee for the TRNC title deed which is given to them when they buy real property. Mr Hasan Sungur, Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Estate Agents Association, speaking to Milliyet paper, said that the situation, which is negative in the occupied areas after the Orams case, can be broken with a message from Turkey and the occupation regime that they are backing the title deeds. Mr Sungur said: We dont say to Prime Minister Erdogan to give a message. A statement of an official from Turkey or even a statement from the embassy in Lefkosia is enough for us. Mr Sungur asked from the occupation regime to support the title deeds. Noting that for the real property sales Turkey and the Turkish army are a huge influence, Mr Sungur said: When we sold real property to the foreigners we were giving them security by telling them Turkey is here, the Turkish army is here. However, during the last period a feeling was created among the foreigners that Turkey doesnt support the TRNC. This is very bad. We attach great importance to Turkey and to the existence of the Turkish Armed Forces. Mr Sungur concluded by saying that the prices of the real property with Turkish Cypriot title deeds have increased and on the other hand they cannot find buyers for the real property which belongs to the Greek Cypriots. The paper also reports that Mr Soner Yetkili, the Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Building Contractors' Union, said that the sales to British has come to a stop with the Orams case and added: We should create alternatives other than the EU countries. We should turn our advertising campaign towards the Middle East countries

Bakanlar Kurulu, Gary John Robb’un KKTC yurttaşlığının iptaline karar verdi. 15 Haziran 2009 tarihli Resmi Gazete’de yayınlanan kararda Robb’un yurttaşlık alırken yalan beyanda bulunduğu ve önemli hususları gizlediği bu nedenle yurttaşlığının iptaline karar verildiği yer aldı.
Kararda, “Bakanlar Kurulu 6. 9. 1962 South Shields doğumlu Gary John Robb’un önergede detaylandırıldığı üzere, KKTC yurttaşlığı alırken yalan beyanda bulunduğu ve önemli hususları gizlediği saptandığından 25\1993 sayılı Yurttaşlık Yasası’nın 16 (1) maddesi uyarınca KKTC yurttaşlığına alınma kararının ve KKTC yurttaşlığının iptal edilmesine karar verdi” denildi.
Gary Robb, Kıbrıs’ta AGA Development isimli bir şirketin ortağı olarak emlak işine girmişti. Özellikle Girne’de inşa ettiği lüks villaları Avrupalılara pazarlayarak işlerini büyütmüştü. Ancak Robb, 2005 yılında 600 müşterisinin 10 milyon sterlinini alarak yurt dışına kaçmıştı. Robb’un, emlak şirketiyle müşterilerini dolandırdığı iddiaları ve KKTC vatandaşlığına alınması konuları uzun süre tartışılmıştı.

Today we have received more documentation regarding AGA Development
These can be seen above in the file Protocol and are docs 10 – 14
They relate to the following:-
Doc.1: The first three are the names of the directors and the fourth one name of the Secretary of the company.
Doc. 2: The registered address of the company
Doc. 3: The shareholders of the company.
Doc. 4: The date the company was formed.
Doc. 5: Introduction from a company based in Turkey. Effectively they work on principle of "Barter" i.e. they do work in return for goods or products produced. They are forming an agency in TRNC and looking into the fields of tourism and construction of buildings and they say that they have begun examining the situation of Aga Developments. Presumably they will offer to finish some houses in return for some of the properties
We see that these documents are dated from 6th Feb 09. In Doc 1 Cafer Gurcafer is named as a director of AGA along with Gary Robb & Kutsel Tokatlioglu (hmm where is Tahir ?) and Mert Guclu is Company Secretary
Doc 3 is interesting as we see the reappearance of the name AKAN KURSAT son of one Talat Kursat Lawyer In Girne who was originally the lawyer for Gary Robb & AGA Development. AKAN KURSAT was allegedly a director of AGA Finance who supposedly along with Debbie Jones (now Kocak) & Tahir ripped Gary Robb off while he was in Thailand !!!!

Having previously been assured by Gary and Aga Robb that they did not wish to make anything from Amaranta as long as it got finished for the customers we were shocked early this week to hear from Gary's lawyer that he is now asking £5 million to hand the project over to Kutsel which effectively kills the investment option we have been pursuing stone dead.
Since receiving this information we have not been able to contact Aga and she has not been answering our calls or text messages.
We are still in weekly contact with Hassan Sungar who is most supportive and he is continuing to try to arrange a meeting for us with the Interior Ministry, in particular with the Deputy Interior Minister who's appointment is yet to be ratified by the President (Politics). Hassan is very optomistic that the appointee with be sympathetic and proactive to our cause.
We have read DJ's proposals on the BB as far as they go and we wish him the very best of luck in his efforts. We will be only too glad to give him any support and assistance that we can should he be able to come to the TRNC and find out exactly what the situation is on the ground. We say this because there are so many and varied problems that we all face that need to be addressed in-situ which cannot be dealt with at a distance and we feel that it is imperative that anyone seeking a solution comes to the TRNC for an extended period to find the facts and see exactly what the problems faced are for themselves.
Gary having his Kimlik Card back and the issue of the court case in the UK possibly being quashed because he was effectively kidnapped and taken from the TRNC to the UK add further implications to the issue and until things become clear on the 4th July when his next hearing is due then we are all in very much on hold.

While I apreciate AGAG,s offer to arrange for an audit If they really want to offer some contructive help to us 97 buyers perhaps they could stop holding us to ransom with thier injunctions. If my recall is correct they do not intend to lift these untill they have full compensation they will not take us 97 buyers into consideration in persueing thier aims If this is the case then it would seem this offer of help leaves a sour taste

When will some of the AGA Victims realise that even if we remove our Injunction Absolute, there are in excess of another 20 with injunctions behind us. One victim even has an injunction absolute that covers 30 donums, which rather cancels out your comment Mark.
Our offer of an Account audit is to benefit those who have paid their honest monies into a protocol that was not forthcoming. Many of these victims will need proof for Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs; we are simply offering a no strings attached service. If this leaves a sour taste in your mouth Mark then so be it, but removing our injunction will not make one iota of difference to the valley.
Again, to Chris this time, it is not only “ our wishes ” on the land but many others, as for brick walls – those who paid £1.3 million over the last year have for enough of them to last a lifetime ! Gosh Harry, do you think ABC have immediate & direct access to the TRNC Finance Minister (or equivalant)? :-) We seem to struggle on the basics with regard to getting any sort of firm & genuine information from the TRNC government as it is, although it would be nice to think some monies would come our way, but what about all the other AGA sites besides Amaranta, not to mention all th other building calamities that have befallen North Cyprus - will £200m be enough to cover the completion of all these projuects? (might need of of his loan to pay of Aga Buyers Action Group -only Joking) I can't really see any of this money being utilised for Amaranta, unless some sort of firm and genuine commitment is made by prospective investors to that the TRNC government does not end up like ourselves, with millions invested with nothing to show for it.

Aga Buyers Action Group (Three Women) don't need anywhere near Two Hundred Million, (Joking or not) all they need is One Hundred and Fifty Thousand, exactly what they have paid in, no more, no less. Shaun, I lost my husband in February, and I want every penny of the money he worked for and paid to Aga (Gary Robb) and the TRNC Government back.
I don't know what this new Government will come up with, and personally speaking I don't care, all Aga Sites matter, and each and every person on those sites matter.
You may think Aga Buyers Action Group a JOKE, and my lovely husband of 43 years maybe a joke to you, but everyone who stole his money will either return it or suffer the consequence for what they have done, just like Mr Robb will suffer the consequence's of his past crime's, including the crime he inflicted on my family,
I no longer care if any of the money is utilised for Amaranta, except for the victims who kept on paying another 1.3 million, with nothing to show, including accounts.
My little plot on the ledge at Amaranta will stay there forever, complete with my PTP, and my stamp duty DULY paid, sadly Les will NEVER enjoy that ledge in this world, and neither will his Grandchildren he and I wanted it for.

As we are banned from posting as ABAG (*See Email below we can only join as individuals) on the TRNC-AGA-BUYERS Private BB, we will have to use our blog in order to answer any questions that AGA victims may have regarding our offer of a free of charge independent audit of the ABC accounts by an ACCA approved company. This audit will result in a set of bone-fide accounts approved by all EU & also more importantly UK authorities, i.e. HMRC
1. Sorry, as one of the 97 who continued to pay throughout 2008, I fail to understand where ABAG fit into the current situation. If the majority of the 97 wish for the accounts to be audited, then we will decide that, I neither require nor wish for ABAG to represent me in the future.
I am as disappointed as everyone that I don't have 'my place in the sun', but ABAG's postings are generally unhelpful, misguided and at times mischievous. Perhaps their daily blog helps to get things off their chests and we all feel we have an axe to grind, but, their tactic of mud throwing does little or nothing in the search for a solution.
We have never acted on behalf of anyone but the three of us, nor do we intend to in the future. We will carry on our fight as we have done in the past until a solution is found. We are however simply offering a free of charge independent audit of the ABC accounts by an ACCA approved company. I find it unbelievable that you would question the integrity of ABC, they are the only people who still stand any chance whatsoever of salvaging something from this mess, they have faught tirelessly no matter which situation they have found themeselves in, most of us that live here recognise that attacking the TRNC Government here will achieve nothing appart from the liquidation of AGA assets ( and that would leave us poor saps with nothing ) ABC have full accounts of the past year available for anyone who wishes to see them in person . But why would you question there integrity, if you do then I suggest you come and see for yourself, then maybe you will stop throwing mud for whatever reason you have. ABAG are not questioning anyone's integrity, just offering a service that ABC may find useful and less time consuming and will enable all that signed the 97 to see the accounts in a professional format, some of the 97 cannot travel to the TRNC to see them and some may need to present them to the HMRC here in the UK for their 2008/09 Tax returns, therefore there is nothing underhand in our offer nor are questioning integrities - As Marian said we should all pull together therefore we are offering assistance

June 06 In North Cyprus ABAG offer to assist the Amaranta Buyers Committee
Finally after 1 year and 50 days the Amaranta Buyers Committee have released what could be loosely referred to as accounts, which consist solely of ‘Ins’ and ‘Outs’ from the escrow account held by them on behalf of the 97 victims who signed the 2008 Protocols.
These ‘accounts’ have been released as the Amaranta Buyers Committee because – and we quote from the posting:-
“We have been coming under increasing and more vociferous pressure from some individuals to provide accounts for the receipts and expenditures from the Escrow Account including recent threats of legal proceedings and complaints to the police.”
This is hardly surprising as they have been less than forthcoming in answering questions posed to them by those Protocol Signing Victims – and their inability/refusal to answer these was leading to mounting suspicion from ALL quarters.
According to these ‘accounts’ there was £1.3 million (approx) paid in to the two bank accounts (can’t see any interest listed), and £1.25 million (approx) paid out, leaving a small balance in the escrow account
The ‘ Accounts ‘ as posted can be seen below. We have erased the actual figures as they have no bearing on where we are taking this

These are only a few of some very important questions that need immediate answers to ensure total transparency or as we said earlier, lack of the latter will lead to suspicion spreading throughout all ranks of AGA victims and may also spread further. These are also only questions that should have been answered long ago by the committee.

Can we be so bold as to point out the following:-
You would not need to provide duplicate copies of hundreds of pages to those who asked if you were simply to involve a bona-fide UK registered Chartered Accountant. The Chartered Accountant would then on your behalf have to provide by law a documented set of accounts. Just give all you have (in a carrier bag if necessary) ,receipts and bank account statements etc., to a company preferably registered with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. (ACCA) and they will do the rest.
This would then leave you all as the Amaranta Buyers Committee free from any, as you say and we quote, “ inference of these demands appears to be that we have been in some way underhand or even dishonest in our dealings with the monies from the Escrow Account “
Again this is such a simple solution, but as usual it will probably be ignored. We are only offering friendly advice, but think that the majority of AGA Victims would agree with us when we urge you to seriously consider this idea if you as the committee wish to avoid any further stress. After all what you have provided to date could easily have been written by a five year old and carry no weight with the law.or more importantly HMRC !
Now your next question to us – we can hear it now:-
“ Why would HMRC be interested ?”
Well many protocol signers that paid over the year 2008 may have to prove as to where that have got and then sent certain large amounts of money.
In order to do this they themselves when submitting their Tax Returns will need proof of expenditure in order to avoid any tax Investigations/charges that may or may not occur. Therefore the implications of not providing bona-fide accounts for such large amounts of money can spread far and wide.
Even those named on the bank accounts where monies were deposited may find themselves in need of proof as to why they were responsible for large sums of money and where these large sums actually went. The only way to overcome this is with a bone-fide set of accounts
It has been said on many occasions , most recently at the United AGA Buyers Meeting by Marian Stokes that the past should be put behind us. We as ABAG have access to a company of Chartered Accountants who are registered with ACCA and have been in business for in excess of 15 years,
In order to assist you as ABC and all AGA victims we are offering to provide free of charge a full set of Accounts on your behalf audited by an independant company which will be seen as legal in all EU Counties and satisfy all the doubting Thomas'. Here we see lots of discussion between the committee and AGA Robb about borrowing money in the form of loans etc...............
“After last weeks news that Gary Robb’s Kimlik card had been ordered to be reinstated by the High Court Judges we discussed with Aga how she saw the way ahead regarding Gary’s agreement to what we are trying to do in getting a loan to initially pay off refunds and to complete the whole valley. She said that they were happy to see the loan pursued using the unsold and refunded houses as collateral when clean title to those houses has been established or can be established once the loan is forthcoming. Aga wanted it cleared up as to their liability for the loan. She is very nervous about taking on such a large loan and wanted to know a lot more details. That is to say what the terms of the repayment, the interest rates, the period of the loan etc would be and if the properties would be marketed by the Bank(s) to reclaim the loan, that is to say would they simply take the houses to discharge the loan or would they expect the properties to be marketed by AGA and the loan repaid from the proceeds of those sales”
“. These are issues that we are not involved in ourselves as we, the Committee nor the Buyers, are party to the loan and we have clearly established that the houses of those going ahead will not be a part of the collateral and once refunds etc have been paid then none of the buyers will have a first party interest in those that are offered to the bank(s). Obviously, we would like to know the details of how the draw down on the loan will be made, the checks that the bank(s) will put in place to control the build and the time for the completion for our own satisfaction and we will remain party to the ongoing discussions”
“ We spoke to Ahmet about the impediments on the site, once again making it clear that unless the money is made available to clear all refunds up front then these cannot and will not be lifted to facilitate the loan.” - How right they are !!!!!
“ We spoke about............... who is the UK broker who will be coming to Cyprus for the purpose of putting together the proposal for the bank(s) in order to obtain the loan. We emphasised that full disclosure of all the facts and figures pertaining to Amaranta Valley must be made to ........ before he is asked to come over as expenses will be incurred and there is no point in him coming over here and suddenly getting information that will make the whole matter a waste of time and money.”
